Leadership Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality, scalable software systems and guide your team to do the same.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand new features and projects, and determine the best approach to implement them.
  • Design robust systems that can handle large volumes of requests without degradation.
  • Utilize Kafka, AWS services, and containerized deployments to ensure seamless system operations.
  • Ensure code quality by conducting thorough PR reviews and enforcing best practices.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and product backlog discussions to maintain team alignment.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation to prevent knowledge gaps.
  • Effectively distribute work within your team and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor system health using tools like Grafana, New Relic, Sentry, and respond promptly to incidents.
  • Contribute to improving our CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts (Python/Shell).
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 4+ years in Golang.
  • Strong system design skills and experience building complex systems.
  • Good understanding of Kafka.
  • Proficient with Docker; Kubernetes experience is beneficial.
  • Hands-on with AWS (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, Route 53).
  • Familiarity with MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience with at least one of these: Grafana (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus), New Relic, Sentry.
  • Ability to write basic automation scripts in Python or Shell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
