Job Title: Senior Redshift Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable cloud-based data environments, leveraging expertise in AWS services.
  • Maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements, ensuring seamless performance.
  • Develop and maintain extensive database experience with AWS Redshift, RDS, MySQL, and Snowflake platforms.
  • Expertise in AWS Services, DB, and Server troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze issues, and apply performance tuning to enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize knowledge of day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development to drive business success.
  • Experienced in Snowflake, with a strong foundation in SQL and Performance Tuning.
  • Skilled in Linux Shell Scripting or Python for efficient system management.
  • Migrate systems from one AWS cloud to another, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Investigate and resolve system hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Manage incident response, change control, and release management processes.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support for critical system issues.
  • Implement disaster recovery policies and procedures, maintaining documentation and testing back-ups regularly.
  • Upgrade systems and services, develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements and new software features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate key project milestones and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in System, Platform, and AWS Cloud Administration.
  • 4+ years of Database Administration experience using latest AWS technologies.
  • Agile software development methodologies, multiple OS platforms, and scripting environments.
