We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our Oracle database team. As a Lead Oracle Database Administrator, you will oversee the migration of databases across various platforms, including Data Center and cloud environments. Your leadership skills will ensure successful migrations with minimal downtime and seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle, from assessment to post-migration optimization.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices for zero/near-zero downtime and high availability/disaster recovery.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across different environments, including:
  • Exadata to Exadata
  • ExaCC to ExaCC
  • Data Center to Data Center
  • AWS to AWS
  • Azure to Azure

You will utilize your expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring, health checks, proactive alerting, migration tracking, and validation.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

Experience with backup and recovery using Rubrik, RMAN, and delta data synchronization strategies is essential.

Requirements:
  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Data Guard setup, switchover, failover, and role transitions.

Nice-to-have skills include knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication, Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning, and exposure to DevOps pipelines for automated DB deployment.
