Senior Sports Executive

The Director of Sports will lead the planning, development, and implementation of sports programs, physical education, and wellness initiatives across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Overall Vision: Create a comprehensive strategy for the sports department, outlining goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Oversee Sports Programs: Manage sports infrastructure, oversee inter-collegiate tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum.
  • Maintain Facilities: Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds.
  • Talent Identification and Development: Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
  • Culture Promotion: Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.
  • Evaluation and Compliance: Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting ethical sports practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Education or Related Field: A Ph.D. in Physical Education or a related field is required.
  • 15 Years of Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams, strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Modern Training Methods: Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
  • Record of Representation: Record of having represented the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championships.
