Job Title: Linux Embedded System Driver Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and productize the platform driver software stack for AMD SoCs in automotive applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive silicon, firmware, hardware, and software development.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to debug issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Coordinate meetings, set clear agendas, and follow up on action items to ensure progress.
  • Deliver regular progress updates towards program goals and objectives.
  • Make informed decisions based on available data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive tasks independently to completion and contribute to team success.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in product development or systems engineering with experience in hardware platforms and their software & firmware ecosystems.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, planning, and technical leadership skills.
  • Proven record of delivering large multi-functional product solutions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment.
  • Engineer with 15+ years of experience in embedded Linux/driver/kernel development.
  • Strong C/C++ development skills with a good understanding of object-oriented design.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux kernel and driver development.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL/Vulkan architecture and GFX HW/SW architecture.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GFX/Multimedia Driver development.
  • Experience with Graphics, Compute, Display KMD/UMD and performance optimization on Linux.
  • IO devices driver development and debug experience.
  • Experience with Multimedia middleware works like vaapi, gstreamer, and ffmpeg.
  • Ability to identify and analyze performance bottlenecks in design and implementation stages.
  • Knowledge of OS architecture including race conditions, synchronization, deadlocks, and interrupt management.
  • Experience dealing with the Linux community and Open Source contribution.
  • Strong system knowledge and system debugging skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to take lead in mastering new technologies.
  • Ability to work in both individual and team member environments.
