Advanced Data Analyst Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Data Analyst to join our team. As an Advanced Data Analyst, you will be responsible for using analytical and data mining tools to drill down on data gathered and identify key factors that attribute to insights.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
  • Understanding business needs and problems through effective communications and improving accuracy of prediction models
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
  • Partnering with the Reporting team to validate data accuracy before and after analysis
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis to support global business requirements across lines of business
  • Proactively monitoring data to identify opportunities for additional analysis
  • Recommending enhancements and reporting tools to support advanced analytics
  • Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats with drill-down capabilities to enable self-service
  • Developing and executing control plans to monitor accuracy and effectiveness of analytic models and optimization solutions for Business

Key Requirements:

You should have good experience in SAP, SAP HANA, EDW, Oracle, and/or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL. You should also have a good understanding of PL reporting, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, working closely with business units to understand their financial needs and provide support, comparing actual performance against budget forecast and analyzing deviations, and proficiency in financial planning software like Hyperion.
