Senior Data Scientist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our data science initiatives.

  • Background: A Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with expertise in developing and deploying scalable production-level code in Python.
  • Database Expertise: Strong experience working with relational databases, writing optimized SQL queries, and managing large datasets.
  • Machine Learning: Comprehensive experience in the full lifecycle of ML model development, including ideation, training/testing, deployment, and monitoring in a production setting.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Ability to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights that inform business decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders, with a focus on clear and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing Complex Datasets: Developing and implementing efficient algorithms for data analysis, utilizing programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Building and Deploying Production-Level Models: Utilizing machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop and deploy scalable models, ensuring high performance and low latency.
  • Managing Large Datasets: Designing and implementing database architectures to store and manage large datasets, optimizing query performance and data retrieval.
  • Communicating Technical Concepts: Effectively communicating complex technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
