Big Data Leader

We are looking for a seasoned Big Data professional to lead our data engineering efforts.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with architects, product managers, and operations.
  • Familiarity with Scala and Python programming languages is essential.
  • A strong understanding of Apache Spark (batch & streaming) and its applications is mandatory.
  • Deep knowledge of HDFS internals and migration strategies is required.
  • Expertise in Apache Iceberg (or similar table formats like Delta Lake / Apache Hudi) for schema evolution, ACID transactions, and time travel is necessary.
  • Proficiency in running Spark and/or Flink jobs on Kubernetes (e.g., Spark-on-K8s operator, Flink-on-K8s) is expected.
  • Familiarity with distributed blob storages like Ceph or AWS S3 is beneficial.
  • The ability to build ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines for large-scale datasets is crucial.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm) for provisioning data infrastructure is desirable.
