Job Title: Data Manager

We are seeking a skilled Data Manager to lead the design, implementation, and governance of data assets across our aviation business.

  • This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-value data products in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data management and governance across all stages of the data lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end data lifecycle management, from acquisition and modelling to cataloguing and governance.
  2. Design and maintain complex data models that support aviation operations and analytics.
  3. Manage metadata and data catalogue tools to ensure discoverability and lineage tracking.
  4. Deliver scalable and secure data products on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  5. Apply foundational data transformation techniques using SQL and Python to prepare data for consumption.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  7. Champion data quality, integrity, and compliance across systems and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with complex data modelling techniques.
  • Proficiency in metadata management and data cataloguing tools.
  • Demonstrated delivery of data products within cloud ecosystems (AWS or Azure).
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Solid business acumen and ability to align data initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Domain expertise in SAP ERP and MDG, aviation business knowledge, and commercial aspects of the Aviation industry.
