Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Advisory: Develop and implement company's legal strategy, providing robust legal support across all business units, anticipate legal risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Corporate Secretarial Functions: Oversee all company secretarial functions, including compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain and manage statutory records, filings, and registers, prepare and file necessary documents with regulatory authorities.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure company adherence to all legal and regulatory obligations, monitor changes in legislation, develop and implement internal compliance programs, including training and audits.
  • Contract Documentation Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect company interests, ensure all contractual obligations are met, and potential legal issues are identified and addressed proactively.
  • Corporate Governance: Advise Board and senior management on corporate governance best practices, ensure company operates with transparency, accountability, and integrity, facilitate board and committee meetings, preparation of agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
  • Litigation Dispute Resolution: Manage and oversee all litigation matters, working closely with external legal counsel, develop strategies for dispute resolution and represent company in legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Leadership Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of legal and compliance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and ethical behavior, provide guidance on complex legal and secretarial matters, ensuring continuous professional development within the team.
