Senior Frontend Developer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Frontend Developer.

The chosen person will play a crucial role in shaping our technology proposition and will be responsible for technical seniority, supporting technology consulting projects, identifying and advising on appropriate solutions for our clients.

You will have a track record of designing and delivering high-quality digital solutions and have a keen interest in the application of technology in the sports industry.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about coding, has excellent communication skills, and can collaborate effectively with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, reusable code following best practices whilst helping to define coding standards and team conventions.
  • Be an advocate for developer experience and continually improve it.
  • Encourage a blameless culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Lead and influence the technical design, architecture, and development of digital projects.
  • Work closely with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to understand problems and define technical scope for global sports properties.
  • Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
