Kafka Cluster Architect Position

Seeking an experienced professional to design, implement, and manage high-performance Kafka clusters in on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale distributed systems and software development. They will play a pivotal role in architecting and managing the Kafka ecosystem, ensuring security, availability, and scalability through meticulous monitoring, configuration optimization, and proactive issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cluster Administration: Develop and execute strategies for designing, implementing, and managing high-performance Kafka clusters.
  • Upgrade and Patch Management: Perform seamless upgrades and patch deployments while minimizing downtime.
  • Security, Availability, and Scalability: Ensure the security, availability, and scalability of Kafka clusters through vigilant monitoring, configuration optimization, and prompt issue resolution.
  • Automation and CI/CD: Automate Kafka cluster installations, topic, ACL, and connector deployments using Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain comprehensive documentation, SOPs, and best practices for Kafka operations.
Desirable Skills:
  • Messaging Platforms Expertise: Familiarity with IBM MQ or RabbitMQ messaging platforms is highly beneficial.
  • Cloud and Containerization Knowledge: Understanding of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and ServiceNow technologies will be advantageous.
