Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of a Kafka Cluster Administrator.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Kafka clusters on-premises and in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, Apache Spark, Big Data & Hadoop Ecosystem, and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform. Additionally, they should have experience working with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab and Jenkins, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and manage large-scale Kafka clusters on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure security, availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of Kafka clusters.
  • Monitor performance, collect metrics, and optimize configurations.
  • Automate Kafka cluster installations, topic/ACL/connector deployments.
  • Collaborate with developers and provide Kafka expertise.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues in Kafka and related ecosystems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development and system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka Administration (Confluent & AWS MSK).
  • Proficiency in Big Data & Hadoop Ecosystem.
  • Experience with Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix Systems & Windows Server.
  • Proficiency in Shell/Python scripting.
  • Experience with automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, GitOps.
  • CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace.
  • Atlassian stack: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (Git).
Good to Have:
  • Experience with IBM MQ / RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, ServiceNow.
  • Strong troubleshooting & collaboration skills.
