Job Title: Oracle Performance Tuner

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing database performance, analyzing complex query issues, and implementing solutions to improve system efficiency. They will work closely with data architects, analysts, and database owners to support both short-term and long-term strategy implementation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Database Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to improve execution time and resource utilization
  • Indexing and Partitioning: Design and implement efficient indexing and partitioning strategies to enhance query performance
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement database upgrades, patches, and security enhancements
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in logical and physical DBA, including experience in Oracle Exadata
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL
  • Strong technical skills in Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c/Exadata
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills
