Head of Legal and Governance

The Legal and Compliance Head is responsible for overseeing legal and compliance matters across three entities. This role partners with teams in APAC, US, and India to advise on regulatory, governance, and corporate transactions.
S/he will oversee court cases, litigations, and criminal/civil cases to ensure settlement with minimum financial impact. S/he will also be responsible for resolving audit related disputes amicably.
Key responsibilities include working closely with management to evaluate & mitigate legal impact of major decisions, ensuring compliance with governing documents, company law, and legislations, and supporting the Management by ensuring smooth functioning of the Board and Board Committees.
Key Experiences- LL.B from a reputed law school/university; desired: Company Secretary experience.
- 15+ years of experience in Corporate Legal, Company Secretariat, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Proven track record of managing compliance for listed companies, board-level advisory, litigation management, and corporate governance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in influence and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written), with an ability to establish trusted partnerships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop business-oriented solutions.
Reports to Managing Director, India & Associate General Counsel, APAC.
