Job Title: Performance Engineering Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Engineering Specialist with a deep understanding of advanced trace methodologies, low-level debugging, and silicon bring-up expertise.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in defining and implementing trace/debug strategies across various SoC subsystems, leading silicon bring-up activities using JTAG, SWD, and trace tools.

The role involves configuring and utilizing ARM CoreSight and ETM for runtime visibility and performance analysis, driving debug methodology using emulators and logic analyzers for board-level analysis, and analyzing crash dumps, core traces, and performance logs to root-cause issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Trace/Debug Strategies: Design and implement trace/debug strategies across CPU, GPU, ISP, PCIe, DDR, CAN, Ethernet, and other SoC subsystems.
  • Silicon Bring-up and Low-Level Co-debugging: Lead silicon bring-up activities using JTAG, SWD, and trace tools, and perform low-level hardware/software co-debugging.
  • Configure ARM CoreSight and ETM: Configure and utilize ARM CoreSight, ETM, STM, and trace infrastructure for runtime visibility and performance analysis.
  • Drive Debug Methodology: Develop and drive debug methodology using emulators, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers for board-level analysis.
  • Analyze Performance Logs: Analyze crash dumps, core traces, and performance logs to identify and resolve issues affecting silicon, firmware, and board domains.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in performance engineering, silicon bring-up, and low-level debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM CoreSight, ETM, STM, and other advanced trace methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of low-level programming languages, including C, C++, and Assembly.
  • Experience with software development, testing, and debugging.
