Embedded Hardware Engineer Job Description

The role of an Embedded Hardware Engineer involves designing the core components and systems that power various applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting, testing, and validating hardware for aerospace, healthcare, and IoT applications where reliability is paramount.

This position demands precision, resilience, and creativity in building electronics that operate under unforgiving conditions. You will work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless end-to-end system integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PCBs for embedded and IoT devices, ensuring they meet performance and efficiency requirements.
  • Select, validate, and qualify electronic components for rugged and high-reliability use.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support EMI/EMC testing and ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in PCB design and embedded hardware engineering.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCAD.
  • Strong understanding of EMC/EMI testing and certification processes.
  • Familiarity with ruggedization techniques for aerospace/defense and power optimization for IoT systems.
