Job Title: Data Catalog

Job Description:

As a seasoned data catalog expert, you will lead the design and implementation of data catalog solutions that drive improved data discovery, accessibility, and governance across organizations. Your expertise in Collibra, IDMC, and Purview will enable you to develop robust data catalog frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data assets with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Catalog Strategy and Implementation: Engage with clients to understand their data catalog and governance needs, designing and implementing comprehensive data catalog solutions using Collibra, IDMC, and Purview.
  • Collibra, IDMC, and Purview Expertise: Utilize Collibra, IDMC, and Purview to manage and enhance data catalog processes, configuring and customizing data catalog tools to meet specific client requirements.
  • Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Establish data catalog metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure data catalog standards are maintained.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, IT, legal, and compliance teams to integrate data cataloging into broader data management initiatives, mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data cataloging and governance, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Expertise in Collibra, Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), and Microsoft Purview.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and technologies.
