We are seeking a skilled programmer to join ValueLabs and contribute to the design, composition, and testing of complex communication documents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent coding skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn custom and third-party tool sets. You will be responsible for designing and composing complex documents using Quadient/DOC1/EngageOne, adhering to provided specifications and approved design/test plans.

The successful candidate will have 4 years+ of experience in programming and composition, with expertise in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), and Python. Proficiency in a highly robust composition language such as DOC1/EngageOne, Quadient, or comparable composition tool is essential.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Coding and Testing: Transform provided specifications and approved design/test plans into composition code deliverables, individually unit testing and remediating issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business users during the UAT project phase to remediate issues and during the deployment project phase to align with business deadlines. Communicate professionally with internal teams and business customers.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot workflows, data files, and print files, including PDF, LCDS, and AFP, and manipulate and understand key print file concepts such as TLE and Page Segments.
  • Logic and Data Manipulation: Manipulate, validate, and transform data files using third-party toolsets, and set up reusable logic libraries and master workflows to support Document Template design.
  • Database Management: Utilize SQL Server, stored procedures, and functions to manage data and define Omni Channel outputs.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the upkeep and consistency of internal documentation related to issues, resolutions, usage topics, and training.
