International Trade Manager

We are seeking an experienced International Trade Manager to oversee the import process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade and logistics, with proficiency in MS Office.

  • Preparation of export documents including export invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Generating insurance certificates through online portals and ensuring sufficient insured amounts are maintained.
  • Knowledge of hazardous cargo handling, including understanding of hazard classes, packing groups, and preparing dangerous goods declarations.
  • Communication and coordination with factories, customs brokers, freight forwarders, transporters, shipping lines, and customers.
  • Negotiation of air or sea freight rates with forwarders, shipping lines, or customs brokers.
  • Review and approval of shipment documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Coordination with freight forwarders for flight or vessel bookings.
  • Arranging courier shipments through DHL or FedEx.
  • Understanding of letter of credit shipments.
  • Regular review and understanding of SCOMET and narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Resolving queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Transportation arrangement for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Online application for preferential and non-preferential COOs.
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Sending final shipment documents to customers and tracking cargo until delivery.
  • Maintenance of accurate records for all export shipments, including up-to-date status of EGM and RODTEP benefits.
  • Knowledge of RODTEP scrip generation and other DGFT/ICEGATE applications.
  • Packing arrangement considering shipment nature, especially for dangerous goods.
  • Compliance with import/export regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Maintenance of accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
  • Collaboration with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Staying updated on changes in import/export regulations and company policies.
