Senior Quality Assurance Specialist Role and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Product Team to comprehend update objectives and ensure Test Leads achieve them.
  • Review requirements and builds from a player's perspective; identify annoyances, confusing elements, or areas for improvement.
  • Optimize test plans by examining team productivity, test cases, and eliminating inefficiencies; share best practices across games.
  • Collaborate with QA Leads to estimate effort for testing activities and scale teams to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Analysts, Delivery teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver quality products.
  • Foster knowledge sharing between test teams and develop relevant training programs.
  • Monitor daily activities of teams to optimize performance.
Ideal Candidate Background and Experience
  • A minimum 12-year experience in a QC Lead position.
  • No less than 5 years of shipping mobile games in a leadership role.
  • A solid understanding of QA stages, tools, and techniques in mobile gaming.
  • Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Experience managing multiple on-site and external test teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to hire, train, and mentor senior team members.
  • Familiarity with Test Case Management software.
  • An understanding of technical and performance requirements for mobile games; able to create test plans to ensure compliance.
  • Experience with automation and load-testing tools/processes for Unity games is a plus.
  • Desirable but valuable: Play testing, usability testing, JIRA administration, performance testing, and automation for Unity games.
