Key Responsibilities
- Building company financial models from scratch as per sector metrics and updating models post-earnings, corporate events, conference calls, and mergers and acquisitions deals.
- Writing earning results, update notes, sector reports, thematic reports, and initiating coverage reports.
- Superior knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, valuation methodologies, and stock analysis.
- Creating sector models, competitor comparison sheets, and writing analytical commentaries on the same.
- Comparative analysis within the sector.
- Expert in the usage of research tools and databases like DataStream, Reuters Knowledge, and Bloomberg.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and engage senior stakeholders in discussions and present one's point of view.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA (Finance) or CA/CFA.
- Total experience of 7-10 years of relevant credit research experience, preferably in analyzing municipal securities.
- Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to team's cross-training needs to maximize its potential.
