**Job Title:** HVAC Design Engineer
This role involves designing and preparing working drawings for HVAC systems in commercial and light industrial buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering designs within the established productivity norms and ensuring compliance with contract documents.
- Deliver high-quality HVAC working drawings per project standards.
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting layouts to ensure seamless integration.
- Resolve technical issues with site teams to maintain smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate ISO documentation and drawing logs to facilitate efficient record-keeping.
- Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor productivity and assist in QA/QC processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify additional work and inform the Project Manager to optimize resource allocation.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong HVAC design knowledge (chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, smoke control). Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements is also essential. Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP) is required. Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks is a plus. Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills are crucial for success in this role.
Required qualifications include B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. HVAC training certification is preferred.
