Design Engineer Role

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to create and update components specification sheets and part/assembly 3D CAD models. The successful candidate will be part of a team providing engineering support and solutions to customers, while contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality components specification sheets and 3D CAD models.
  • Prepare part/assembly drawings according to established standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for Engineering Change Notification (ECN) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and optimize designs for improved performance.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work with US-based timings.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in SolidWorks software.
  • Familiarity with sheet metals, machined parts, and plastic components.
  • Understanding of various manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently in an agile environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up.
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience with design life cycle management tools, such as Windchill/PLM.
