Database Administrator Role
">This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of MongoDB databases.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed documentation of database design/architecture and setups.
- Establish procedures for backup/recovery and disaster recovery.
- Administer MongoDB to achieve maximum availability and performance.
- Design and implement sharding and indexing strategies for MongoDB.
- Configure and monitor replica sets.
- Perform patch upgrades.
- Design and build operational infrastructure to support our databases, automating where possible.
- Establish database security procedures.
- Create users, assign roles, and manage permissions.
- Stay current with industry trends and standards.
- Provide support to the user community using incident problem management tools.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB and Atlas.
- Experience with database administration and design.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
