Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Informaticist Coder to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our risk adjustment solutions.

A Day in the Life

  • You will interact with product and customer success teams to understand the adoption of our Clinical Decision Support (CDS) definitions for risk adjustment to improve clinical documentation.
  • You will validate coding and clinical documentation guidelines for our Risk Adjustment solutions.
  • You will create and maintain code groups or value sets for Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) definitions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have advanced knowledge of medical terminologies, including RxNorm, LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, etc.
  • You have a deep understanding of body systems/anatomy, physiology, and concepts of disease processes.
  • You have experience using clinical data and analytics to help develop new solutions to existing healthcare problems.
  • You possess strong time management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Administration and two years of medical coding experience; or four years as a medical coder. Coding experience with a HCC Model is strongly preferred.
  • You hold a Registered Health Information Technician or Administrator (RHIT/RHIA) or Certified Professional Coder (primary care coding experience preferred).
