Healthcare Innovator Sought for Risk Adjustment Position

The healthcare industry has long struggled with the complexities of patient care, and technology has often been a source of frustration rather than relief.

Innovative solutions are needed to address these issues, and we're looking for a skilled Clinical Informaticist Coder to join our team.

This position will focus on developing and maintaining risk adjustment solutions, working closely with product and customer success teams to ensure seamless adoption.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and improve clinical documentation and coding practices.
  • Validate and maintain coding and clinical documentation guidelines for risk adjustment solutions.
  • Create and manage code groups and value sets for HCC definitions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Advanced understanding of medical terminologies, including RxNorm, LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS.
  • Knowledge of body systems, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows, EHRs, and clinical documentation.
  • Experience using clinical data and analytics to drive innovation in healthcare.
  • Strong self-motivation, time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Administration and two years of medical coding experience, or four years as a medical coder. Coding experience with a HCC Model is strongly preferred.

Registration as a Health Information Technician or Administrator (RHIT/RHIA) or Certified Professional Coder (with primary care coding experience) is also required. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk adjustment coding in lieu of certificate is acceptable.
