Automotive Audio System Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled design engineer to drive the development of our next generation automotive audio system.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative audio solutions for the automotive industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement hardware architecture and component selection for the automotive audio system.
  • Recommend and select next-generation semiconductor solutions for automotive audio, designing and developing electronic components and systems that power car audio systems.
  • Collaborate with vehicle architecture, safety engineering, and purchasing teams to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in recommending electronic audio components, including audio amplifiers, microphone interfaces/audio ADCs, audio DSPs, audio power circuitry/PMICs, speaker interfaces, and digital audio interfaces (A2B, Ethernet, etc).
  • Familiarity with relevant automotive safety and quality standards, such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Experience with acoustic measurement instruments, familiarity with audio data acquisition, analysis systems, and Audio Precision.
  • Collaborate with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology roadmaps.
  • Support the HW Engineering group during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions, and ECU development/qualifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural roles.
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle infotainment systems, audio systems, automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing.
  • Experience in automotive ECU design, audio standards, automotive testing, and certification.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the automotive industry (OEM, TIER1, TIER2)
  • Understanding and knowledge of board software/bring-up software, audio DSPs, and MCUs.
  • Knowledge of safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and security regulations would be an asset.
