Database Migration Solutions Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Database Migration Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing database migration solutions to help grow the PostgreSQL business at Azure.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and innovate in the space of database migration solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed.
  • Identify needs for a broad versus selected approach in testing mechanisms and make informed decisions to implement the most effective tests.
  • Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of software development experience using C, C++, Go, Java, or C#.
  • Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems architecture, and end-user experience.
  • Background of complex software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with internals of PostgreSQL or similar Enterprise Database Management system.
  • Experience building Distributed Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining high-performance libraries or software engineering.
