Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and healthcare IT standards.
  • Technical Requirement Translation: Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • EHR Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret EHR data (e.g., Cerner, Epic) to ensure accurate integration and customization within healthcare systems.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Develop and present clear and concise documentation, including business process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and testing scripts.
  • Testing Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, project updates, and status presentations to ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to track timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project scope and deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for optimizations.

Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst Experience: 4 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in Healthcare IT, at least last 2 years with hands-on knowledge of EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic).
  • Healthcare Data Standards: Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and workflows, including HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, process mapping, and data analysis.
  • Software Development: Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from end-users to senior executives.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and analytical mindset to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certification: Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Epic and/or Cerner Certification: Familiarity with Epic and/or Cerner certification is a plus.
