We are seeking a highly skilled principal statistician with extensive experience in R and R Shiny. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing advanced Shiny applications with a focus on data visualization, performance optimization, and integration with databases.

Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design and develop cutting-edge data-driven solutions using R programming language and its associated frameworks such as Shiny. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into functional software applications.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Designing and developing interactive data visualizations using Plotly within Shiny applications.
  • Leading advanced Shiny development, including reactivity, modules, layouts, and custom input/output components.
  • Developing and maintaining robust and scalable Shiny applications that integrate seamlessly with various databases.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in R programming and related technologies.
  • Advanced skills in Shiny development, including reactivity, modules, layouts, and custom input/output components.
  • Familiarity with database integration and data storage solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization concepts and experience with Plotly.
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
