IT Project Manager - Financial Services

This role is responsible for overseeing the IT project management office, ensuring the successful execution of all IT projects through effective portfolio governance.

The IT Project Manager will enforce project management frameworks, drive continuous improvements, and play a hands-on project management role for critical IT initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for IT Portfolio Management, including strategic planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management.
  • Implement project management standards and practices across the IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor the project management team, providing performance reviews, career growth opportunities, and training.
  • Create and maintain resource allocation plans for internal and external teams.
  • Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding requirements, and necessary processes.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to project teams throughout all project phases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in managing complex IT projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Background in Business Analysis.
