Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, as well as driving process initiatives to improve quality output.

The successful candidate will have experience in supplier development and quality management, as well as critical machining process knowledge. They will also be skilled in interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality metrics for new products and transitions
  • Monitor and analyze quarantine material, recovery through suppliers, failure analysis (8D), and drive corrective actions
  • Experience with quality measuring equipment like CMM, VMS, Contour Tracer, Profile Projector, dial bore gauge etc.
  • Focal point for supplier quality related activities. FAIR approval, PPAP documentation and TRUN

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of work experience in quality function in machining, electromechanical manufacturing industries
  • Experience in supplier audits, supplier approval, supplier performance monitoring, PPAP, supplier coordination and recovery or replacement of supplier defective parts
  • Experience on layout inspection, verification of test reports (mechanical and chemical) with respect to standards
  • Sound experience in casting, machining processes, etc
  • Perform inspection of casting and machined parts, etc
  • Hands on experience on handling the measuring instruments like, CMM, VMS, Contour Tracer, 2D height Gauge (Trimos), Profile Projector, Coating Measurements, etc
