Senior Associate Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Associate to work closely with our client's asset management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the day-to-day workflows of existing assets, including monitoring and analyzing cash flows, tracking asset performance, and overseeing third-party partners.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills, as well as financial and analytical skills with a well-developed understanding of key investment performance drivers.

The successful candidate will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.

The Senior Associate will be responsible for portfolio onboarding, collaborating with the asset management team and external business partners to review performance and suggest value enhancements, coordinating with third parties and internal teams on lender reporting, monitoring loan covenants, and ensuring compliance with credit agreements.

In addition, the Senior Associate will outline key terms in credit and purchase agreements, execute and enhance operational efficiencies and information flow with both internal and external teams, and manage funding and distribution activity with internal/external teams.

Real Estate Technology Project Management Responsibilities

The Senior Associate will work closely with the client's technology team and third-party consultants on high priority real estate technology implementation initiatives. This includes performing detailed reviews of chart of account mapping to real estate asset's trial balance accounts during the implementation stage of technology and onboarding of new deals.

The role also involves reviewing financial statement reconciliation and resolving mapping discrepancies to ensure generated financial statements reflect deal activity and performance. Additionally, the Senior Associate will assist in managing third-party workflows and utilize dynamic portfolio management tools to analyze deal's standardized financial statements, key performance metrics, and other partner reporting.

Skill Requirements
  • Sound experience in asset management or related fields (6-8 years)
