Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Description:

This is a senior-level position for a data engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with big data technologies such as pySpark, Hadoop, and Hive, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient ETL pipelines using cloud-based technologies.
  • Perform integration testing of different created pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Provide estimates for development, testing, and deployments on different environments.
  • Participate in code peer reviews to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support increasing data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models and foster data-driven decision making.
  • Write unit/integration tests and contribute to engineering wiki.
  • Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolution.
  • Work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
  • Design and implement data integrations and quality frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with big data technologies.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data warehouse concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and orchestration tools.
