Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer to fill this critical role.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on grinding machines, turning centers, and machining centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair machine tools in our shop.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with machine tools.
  • Program and maintain CNC systems, including Fanuc and Siemens control systems.
  • Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with vendors to source replacement parts and repair equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in machine shop maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and PLC maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
