
Senior Infection Control Product Specialist

Role Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote our products within the infection control industry. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and sales, to ensure that our products meet customer needs and stay ahead of competition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies (digital, offline, and events) to increase product awareness and drive demand.
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations at industry conferences and exhibitions.
- Create and manage marketing collateral and presentations to effectively communicate product value propositions.
- Conduct market analysis, identify customer needs, and stay updated on current trends and market potential.
- Assess competitor offerings and explore opportunities for differentiation.
- Monitor project funnel and provide accurate forecasts for production.
- Manage stock levels and ensure efficient inventory management.
- Oversee new product launches and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training to internal teams (sales and marketing) and external end-users on product usage.
- Regularly report on activities and progress to stakeholders.
Market Development:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing initiatives to create pull in the market for the entire IC product portfolio.
- Responsible for the launch of new products or product lines.
- Coordinate symposiums, marketing programs, CMEs, and conferences from initiation to execution in consultation with the sales and head of marketing teams.
- Identify and work closely with key architects, construction companies, and project consultants for business development purposes.
- Provide technical product information to Bio-Medicals/CSSD Managers - Technicians/IC Nursing Heads/Consultants by discussing/detailing feature benefits and precision execution of routine tasks.
- Create marketing tools/collaterals as needed.
Training Support:
- Responsible for providing training support for the IC product line.
- Initiate, conduct, and facilitate internal product and technical training for sales and other team members/distributors to meet objectives.
- Conduct operational training to end-users, follow-up trainings, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with other Product Managers for operational training to end-users during project completion/final handover.
Sales Support:
- Support the sales team with product knowledge, training, and strategic selling tools.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities with consumables and equipment bundles.
- Participate in product-related technical discussions for projects, tenders, and business flow.
- Handhold and develop new sales reps on priority to ensure they are confident in promoting the product to customers.
- Closely work with Sales to introduce and promote to Consultants/Architects/Surgeons/Techinicians/Purchase Authorities during pre- and post-sales activities.
- Provide cost support and attend commercial negotiations along with the sales team as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs in infection control and hospital administration.
Other:
- Track sales and organize stocks.
- Maintain and analyze sales data, and take corrective actions to address areas of concern in consultation with the Head - Marketing.
- Handle customer complaints related to products and coordinate with relevant personnel for feedback and resolution.
- Perform other duties assigned by seniors/management to support the team.
- Make regular customer visits individually and with sales colleagues.
- Ensure all marketing and product communications comply with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and quality certifications.
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Healthcare Management (preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in medical equipment, devices, consumables preferably in the infection control industry.
- Proven track record in managing technical products and consumables.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and healthcare workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and sales teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear marketing messages.
