Job Title: Medical Room Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Room Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgery, ensuring all equipment and necessary items are available and functioning properly.
- Provide surgical equipment and supplies to doctors and anesthesia providers during operations.
- Hand over instruments to doctors and supply equipment and drugs to anesthetists as needed.
- Transfer patients after operations to the recovery room safely and efficiently.
- Assist anesthesia providers with non-invasive and invasive patient procedures, including peripheral and central intravenous and arterial line placement.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and notify anesthesia providers of any abnormal changes or concerns.
- Clean and maintain anesthesia machines, monitors, and equipment according to established infection control procedures.
- Assist with patient laboratory tests and results, including ABGs and other point-of-care tests.
- Obtain blood products and pharmaceuticals as required and assist with preparation and delivery.
- Maintain availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures, providing exceptional support to the medical team.
- Stay up-to-date on professional competence and maintain high standards of performance.
- Comply with OSH and infection control policies, cooperating with hospital management and adhering to documented procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures, reporting OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues promptly.
- Participate in applicable OSH/infection control training programs and follow waste management procedures diligently.

This role requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of a recognized healthcare program or equivalent experience.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid certifications in areas relevant to the role, such as CPR/BLS.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
