Job Description

Our organization offers professional services encompassing end-to-end accounting, auditing, assurance, risk management, regulatory, and taxation. Our team possesses prior experience across various industry sectors with leading accounting firms.

We cater to a diverse clientele including traditional and new-age companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own and manage revenue accounting processes ensuring accurate recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 standards.
  2. Review customer contracts and agreements to determine suitable revenue treatment including multi-element arrangements and variable considerations.
  3. Collaborate with Sales Legal and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  4. Prepare and maintain revenue schedules journal entries and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close.
  5. Analyze deferred revenue billing schedules and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.
  6. Partner with IT and finance systems teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue.
  7. Support external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes.
  8. Monitor changes in accounting standards and advise on implications for revenue recognition.
Requirements
  1. 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition preferably in a technology or services environment.
  2. CPA or CA qualification.
  3. Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios.
  4. Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite SAP or Oracle and revenue sub-ledgers or modules.
  5. Advanced Excel skills pivot tables formulas reconciliations experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance legal and sales teams.
