About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee accounting, compliance, and financial control across our global operations. This position will be responsible for comprehensive bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail and inventory accounting, proven leadership in multi-entity environments, and the ability to develop scalable processes to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management:
    • Preparation of consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis.
    • Supervision of books of accounts for global entities based out of USA, Hong Kong & China.
    • Ensuring reconciliations between consolidated accounts and MIS are completed, documented, and variances explained.
    • Management of the monthly financial close process, including review of journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
    • Management of reconciliations, accounting, and reporting for third-party marketplaces.
  • Audit, Tax, Legal & Compliance:
    • Leadership of statutory audits for India and US entities.
    • Management of direct and indirect tax compliance – GST, income tax, TDS in India; US federal and state tax filings.
    • Management of all regulatory filings (MCA, RBI/FEMA, GST, PF, ESIC, TDS, transfer pricing, tax returns, income tax assessments, labor law compliances etc).
    • Liaison with the CFO to review legal contracts and serve as the first point of contact for any legal-related issues.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Pivotal role in investor financial, legal, and tax due diligence reviews.
    • Definition and continuous evaluation of SOPs related to financial reporting and compliance.
    • Collaboration with the technology team to streamline financial reporting between accounting software and internal reporting platforms, maximizing automation.
