Associate Dean

Description

The Associate Dean plays a pivotal role in supporting the management of academic, research, and extension programs. This position requires strong leadership skills to assist the Dean and Principal in enhancing academic and administrative functions.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Dean and Principal in managing and enhancing academic and administrative functions within the faculty or institute.
  2. Ensure smooth implementation of academic programs, supervise regularity of all academic sessions, and maintain proper decorum and quality of teaching in classes and labs.
  3. Involved in implementing protocols prescribed by statutory bodies for examinations conducted by the university, analyzing department-wise teaching loads, promoting research activities, and serving as a member of academic committees.
  4. Maintain a repository of data on faculty members and hold regular meetings with Principals and Vice Principals to identify challenges related to the teaching and learning process.
Qualifications

A Master's degree in Physiotherapy is required, along with fifteen years of experience, including five years as a Professor. Higher qualifications like a Ph.D. in any discipline of Physiotherapy recognized by the UGC and published work of high standard in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals are also desirable.
