What you will be doing

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and optimize our data infrastructure and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java development on Cloud environments.

  • Job Description:
  • We need someone who can provide services to the Market Risk Management function of an I-bank client. This person will work among a team based in Chile, already supporting and interacting directly with the US client. We currently have projects and platforms leveraging front-end and back-end technologies. We require developing back-end services to provide access to Risk Engines and data pipelines.
  • The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our data infrastructure and pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Software Engineering:
  • Problem analysis, solution determination, design architecture, code design and development, integration, test, modification, and documentation
  • Risk/Finance IT Application Development:
  • Developing complex applications and guiding a diverse team of developers & senior developers on technical aspects
  • Collaboration:
  • Closely working with Multiple Business SMEs (Internal and External) to understand requirements and troubleshoot/remediate any identified issues
  • Platform Creation:
  • Jointly working with other teams and partners handling different aspects of the platform creation, reviewing and mentoring
  • Technology Advancements:
  • Tracking advancements in software development technologies and applying them judiciously in the solution roadmap.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensuring robust configuration management and all quality controls and processes are adhered to.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuous improvement to processes and practices with new ideas, concepts, methods, and technologies
  • Database Design:
  • Design, develop, and enhance large transaction and reporting based DBs
  • Tech Lead:
  • Reviewing the work done by other team members and Up-skilling/mentoring technical knowledge of team member
