Unix Systems Administrator Role:

We seek an experienced professional with strong background in Unix systems administration and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second- or third-level support for Unix in a mission-critical banking environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.
  • Operate under ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem/Knowledge).
  • Maintain high availability, performance, and security; participate in disaster recovery/business continuity planning drills.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
  • Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with vendors (technical assistance center cases, firmware/patch planning) and validate post-change health.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with operations, security, audit, and business stakeholders.
  • Display ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong background in Unix systems administration.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
  • Skills in tuning configurations and scheduling jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
