Job Title: Application Engineer

This role is for one of Weekday's clients, requiring a skilled Application Engineer to perform heat load calculations and design for HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform heat load calculations and design for HVAC systems where customer schedules are not provided.
  • Handle equipment selection, cost estimation, quotations, and AutoCAD drawings for HVAC systems, including DX VRF and chilled water systems.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and prepare technical submittals.
  • Create order estimation sheets and obtain approval from the Sales Manager/Sr. Manager.
  • Organize and hand over project files to the Sales Coordinator.
  • Gather specifications from contractors and select fan models based on customer requirements and equipment schedules, quoting prices from the price list and cost sheet.
  • Prepare submittals in line with contract specifications and submit them to the contractor/consultant for approval.
  • Send order acknowledgments to customers.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Required Skills:
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in languages and computer applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Effective management skills.
  • Positive employee relations and a pleasant personality.

This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, heat load calculations, and technical submittals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and administrative abilities.
