Lead Fabrication Operations

This is a leadership role responsible for the overall supervision and management of fabrication activities across various units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fabrication strategies that align with production plans and meet customer requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and timely project completion.
  • Collaborating with design, procurement, planning, and quality departments for seamless execution.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monitored in this role include:

  • Productivity rates
  • Utilization percentages
  • Rejection rates

Process improvements are crucial in this role, which includes driving automation and lean manufacturing practices, as well as ensuring effective manpower planning, machine loading, and material availability.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to identify skill gaps within the fabrication team and provide mentorship to enhance performance.

Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring audit readiness are also essential aspects of this role.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in structural, pressure vessel, or equipment fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, codes, and standards.

Familiarity with ERP systems, fabrication software/tools, and production planning systems is highly desirable.
