Job Title: AR Collection Specialist

Company Overview:

A well-established healthcare organization seeks a detail-oriented and results-driven AR Collection Specialist to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow up with insurance companies (Payers) to resolve unpaid or denied claims, ensuring timely resolution of patient cases.
  • Review claim status, identify root causes of denials, and develop strategic plans to improve collections.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance guidelines, CPT codes, and denial reason codes to optimize the collection process.
  • Document call details and update the system with accurate status updates, ensuring seamless data transfer between departments.
  • Meet daily call volume and productivity targets while maintaining exceptional communication skills to ensure successful interactions with payers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences or Healthcare-related field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Health).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months to 3 years in AR Calling or Pre-auth in US Healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills, with a neutral accent and confidence.
  • Familiarity with US healthcare terminologies and claim cycles.
Key Skills:
  • Payer portal management, insurance processes, and billing workflows expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR/RCM systems (Athena, eClinicalWorks, EPIC).
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Goal-driven mindset, with a focus on improving collections and approvals turnaround.
