Financial Leadership Role

We are seeking an accomplished financial leader to spearhead our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Indian accounting practices within a manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • GST Expertise: Serve as the company's subject matter expert on all GST-related matters, ensuring accurate and timely filing of GST returns, handling reconciliations, and managing GST audits or departmental queries.
  • SAP Business One & SQL: Take ownership of the finance module in SAP B1, utilizing advanced SQL skills to develop custom financial reports, create complex queries, and work directly with the SAP backend to extract and analyze data.
  • Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, preparing and presenting accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory regulations, including TDS, TCS, Provident Fund, ESI, and other requirements under the Companies Act.
  • Audits & Controls: Act as the primary point of contact for statutory and internal auditors, developing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within a private limited manufacturing company in India.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (CA / CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1). You must know the system inside and out.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory for developing reports and working on the SAP backend.
  • Functional Skills:
  • Deep expertise in Indian GST laws, including all aspects of filings, compliance, and reconciliations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ind AS, corporate law, and direct/indirect taxation.
  • Attributes: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership qualities.
