Head of Data Governance Job Description

Elevate Your Impact Through Strategic Data Management and Innovation

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Governance to lead our data governance efforts. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a robust data governance framework, ensuring the effective management, quality, and security of organizational data assets.

  • Develop and implement a data governance framework using Collibra / Informatica IDC / AXON
  • Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to define data ownership, data quality standards, and classification
  • Create and enforce data governance policies and procedures
  • Work with multiple stakeholders on Data Quality & Data Security aspects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management, quality, and security of organizational data assets.
  • Metadata Management: Design and maintain metadata repositories, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of data assets, including data definitions, lineage, and usage.
  • Data Quality Management: Collaborate with data quality experts to implement data quality rules, validation processes, and data cleansing procedures to maintain high-quality data standards.
  • Data Security: Work closely with security teams to enforce data security protocols, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / Engineering from a reputed university.
  • Over 18-26 years in Data Governance.
  • Experience in Financial Services or any other Regulatory industry is preferred.
  • Experience in Data & Analytics preferred.
