SAP BODS SLT Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a technically strong SAP BODS SLT Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data integration, ETL development, and real-time replication using SAP SLT.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust ETL pipelines and managing SLT replication from SAP ECC/S/4HANA to various targets. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact data integration projects using SAP technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
  • Configure and manage SAP SLT (System Landscape Transformation) for real-time replication from SAP ECC/S/4HANA systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data extraction, transformation, and loading to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, data architects, and business analysts to define data integration strategies.
  • Optimize and tune BODS jobs for high performance, error handling, and scalability.
  • Monitor and maintain SLT replication statuses; troubleshoot latency, performance, or connectivity issues proactively.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3 to 6 years of proven hands-on experience with SAP BODS (design, development, deployment).
  • 2+ years of working experience with SAP SLT configuration and real-time data replication.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and/or SAP HANA platforms.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, error handling, and BODS job optimization techniques.
  • Good understanding of database technologies such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or HANA.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, data mappings, and transformation rules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP BW, SAP Data Intelligence, or other SAP integration tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of SAP application tables, IDocs, and change data capture (CDC) mechanisms.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for data integration is advantageous.
