We are seeking a Formulation and Quality Control (QC) Chemist to join our team in the development of pet health supplements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements. They will also supervise production, ensure quality compliance, and lead small-scale batch preparation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and optimizing formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.
  • Selecting suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.
  • Leading small-scale batch preparation (mixing, filtration, filling, capping, labeling) for pet health supplements.
  • Training and guiding the founder in step-by-step production.
  • Maintaining hygiene and cleaning SOPs for pet product manufacturing.
  • Conducting basic QC tests (pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, appearance) specific to dogs and cats supplements.
  • Approving/rejecting incoming raw materials (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts for pets).
  • Maintaining stability samples and quality records.

Requirements:

  • Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm (preferred) or M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Food Technology / Veterinary Science / Nutraceuticals.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in pet health supplements / veterinary nutraceuticals / animal syrups or tonic manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs and cats products.

Desired skills:

  • Strong knowledge of veterinary nutraceutical ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts safe for dogs and cats).
  • Practical experience with syrup/tonic production process (mixing → filtration → filling) for animal products.
  • Ability to work independently and teach/mentor.
  • Familiarity with QC lab equipment (pH meter, weighing balance, viscometer).
  • Good documentation habits (batch sheets, QC records).
